Worst Question To Ask An Atheist

There are many phrases and questions that have become taunting and tiresome for atheists. Simply because they hear them over and over again. "You're just mad at God." or "Why are there still monkeys?" Just two examples of over used pokes and questions flooding the growing atheist / theist debate...especially on the internet. There is a "stupid sh*t Christians Say" list on the Youtube channel of almost every internet atheist but what is the worst of these questions to ask an atheist. One and one question only out shines all others for the title of the worst

---- What Harm Does Religion Do? ----

Oh my, the list of reasons why religion is bad or believing is harmful can only be described as endless. But before the obvious reasons such as war, persecution, murder, incest, lies and magic start reeling through your mind I encourage you to take a more cliché approach when answering this burning question. Answer that question with a question... or maybe several questions. When asked "What harm does believing or religion cause?" My answer is always something like this:

"How many children died at the gate of their city, stoned to death by neighbors at the request of their parents in accordance with the bible...Deuteronomy 21: 18-21. How many kids died like that before we grew up? How many slaves were beaten in a way so that they lived 48 hours before dying? Following instructions n Exodus 21... How many died that way before slavery was outlawed? Did you know slavery in itself is idea straight from Leviticus? Leviticus 25: 44-46 to be exact. Did you know that the first load of slaves ever were loaded onto a vessel named "The Good Ship Jesus"? How many woman were stoned for not bleeding on their wedding night? That's right... it is medically and scientifically proven that not all woman will bleed or show any sign of virginity being present or absent. Yet, how many women were buried to their waist and watched as stones hurled toward her, thrown by her community, her family and the man she was to marry... because they couldn't find blood on her panties and Deuteronomy 22:13-21 instructed them to kill her in front of her father. How many women died that way before this religious practice instructed in the bible was outlawed? How many soldiers were expelled from camp (even in enemy territory) and left to fight for themselves because they had a wet dream? Deuteronomy 23 left his superiors no other choice. How many soldiers were abandoned that way before military leaders decided that was mean and foolish?

After a few verse after verse questions it's always good to return to the obvious with one last question. How many died tortuous, barbaric deaths at the instructions in that vile book before you decided to love Jesus half assed and with no belief or knowledge of the very doctrine he comes from? Furthermore, how many died on 911 because the hijackers faith was stronger than yours? They truly believed.
